Patricia White – Executive Director

Patricia has thrived for 30 years as a classroom teacher – guiding children and young adults into their best selves. Patricia’s pedagogical and curriculum expertise in the area of English and general education spans from grades 2 through 12. Mrs. White is rated as a Highly Effective New York State certified teacher.

Mrs. White is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, and she has been awarded the Black Scholars Community Partnership Honor Roll of Motivational Teachers. In May of 2021, “Mrs. Whittle’s Cottage” earned laurels for outstanding Children’s and Family Programming at the IMDb accredited international Indie Fest. Her extensive background includes a plethora of professional development using Thinking Maps for Language and Learning, Institutes for Thinking and Writing, Common Core Standards and Literacy Training, Co-Teaching Strategies for Special Education, and RULER for Social Emotional Learning.

Mrs. White also utilizes both clinical experience and educational resources that include Social Emotional Learning curriculum from Yale University *RULER Online (grades K-5), and the New York State Learning Department Learning Standards for the Arts, Career Development and Occupational Studies, English Language Arts, Health, Physical Education and Family and Consumer Science, Mathematics, Science and Technology, and Social Studies.

When away from the classroom or nurturing a family of four, Patricia has been prolific, creating award-winning films, children’s books, librettos, sketch comedy, and more. ​
